Jacqueline Vinasco
Bio
Jacqueline Vinasco has been a Rutgers staff member since 2017. Vinasco is currently pursuing a career in Higher Education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Organizational Management from New Jersey Institute of Technology and has completed all her coursework for an Ed.D. program in Leadership in Higher Education.
With prior experience at Rutgers’ New Brunswick, Rutgers Business School, and RBHS in Newark, Vinasco served as the Senior Program Coordinator Supervisor at the Department of Political Science in Rutgers New Brunswick, managing the undergraduate unit comprising almost 3,000 students. Some of her contributions were to maintain the Department’s website and social media, responsible for all printed marketing materials and Annual Reports, managing and planning of all large department events, helping the department’s Chair, Department Administrator, and UG Director by working on ad hoc projects and initiatives geared to improving the various building spaces dedicated to students, staff, and faculty.
Vinasco was instrumental for most of the programmatic/cyclical academic activities, such as course scheduling, Senior Graduation Certifications, Undergraduate Convocation ceremony, and Pi Sigma Alpha induction planning and logistics, including but not limited to handling all weekend student outreach activities. Vinasco interacted with all groups, including students, faculty, administrators, families, and stakeholders, enabling her to make a significant impact. She was able to provide support for various administrative, academic, and faculty support-related areas.
Vinasco provided support with hiring/payroll and contracts for both adjunct professors and full-time faculty. Jackie served as a member of the Political Science Department Search Committee member and was mainly responsible for all of the onboarding of new faculty and staff, including pre-employment (performing most of the interview process logistics) to participating in the post-employment activities such as guiding new faculty and staff to obtaining all their Rutgers’ credentials, conditioning of their office space, start-up funds, benefits, and connecting them to all onboarding trainings and new employment resources and information.
During her free time, Vinasco enjoys spending quality time with her family, going to the Jersey Shore, gardening, dancing, oil painting and pencil sketching, attending local concerts, reading articles on topics related to her studies, cooking, and taking care of her beloved pets.
