Klara Maria Lekics, LCSW

Klara Maria Lekics is a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey and a Certified Nurtured Heart Trainer. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and taught in elementary school before earning her Master of Social Work, with a specialization in care for Children and Adolescents. 

Over the past ten years, Lekics has worked with families and clients of all ages to work on issues related to anxiety, depression, communication, social skills, self-image, and processing trauma in both school and outpatient settings. She uses a strength-based, trauma-sensitive approach that focuses on meeting clients where they are and supporting them in working toward their goals. 

Lekics has taken specialized training in Play Therapy and is in the process of getting certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
